Roaming Tiger

The perks and drags of my job more-or-less even each other out. However, there are days when I'm reminded of the perks I take for granted. For instance, I work about 150 yards from the Pacific Ocean, and about 150 feet from a PGA-licensed (is that the right way to put it?) golf course. The Buick Invitational was played outside our office building this week. I was able to get a few pictures of Tiger Woods and a bunch of other guys named, "Not Tiger Woods". I'll post the Tiger shots on flickr when I get around to it.

I just learned that RHCP bassit Flea has a blog on nba.com about his beloved Los Angeles Lakers. Very cool.

Coachella 2006 Lineup Update

I mentioned a few rumoured Coachella acts a few weeks back. All rumours have stuck, except for Morrissey, who has other gigs scheduled for 4/29 and 4/30 in England (Whitehaven and Gateshead, respectively).

Depeche Mode has leaked the fact that they will be co-headlining the festival. Also, at last night's premier for the Coachella movie, several other acts were all but confirmed; Roxy Music, Sigur Ros, Lady Sovereign, My Bloody Valentine, and Imogen Heap just to name a few. It is also rumoured, although I'm highly skeptical, that the Smashing Pumpkins will reunite for the festival.

Customer Disservice

In light of the recent MLK holiday, it's difficult to imagine how minorities must have been treated 40 years ago. I’m guessing it’s similar to the feeling one gets when they walk into Kinko’s or Best Buy and ask for help.
